Salary: Between £27k and £33k – Dependent on experience
Location: 33-41 Cross Lances Road, Hounslow. TW3 2AD

Role Description:

A General Manager (GM) plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the Trust’s day-to-day operations, ensuring its strategic goals are met, and maintaining its financial health.

We’re seeking a dynamic leader with effective communication skills, strong work ethics, and a passion for goal setting. If you possess knowledge management expertise, the ability to empower and inspire, support employees, upskill team members, and provide encouragement, we want you! The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  1. Leadership and Strategy:
    1. Provide leadership to the team, setting a vision for the Trust and developing strategic plans to achieve its goals.
    2. Ensure the organization’s activities align with its mission and vision.
  2. Operations Management:
    1. Manage the Trust’s daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in delivering programs and services.
    2. Oversee the operations of the Madrassah.
    3. This includes managing staff, volunteers, and resources.
  3. Financial Management:
    1. Responsible for the financial health of the Trust.
    2. This includes budgeting, financial planning, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring proper financial controls and compliance with laws and regulations.
  4. Fundraising and Revenue Generation:
    1. You will play a key role in fundraising efforts, developing strategies to secure funds from donors, grants, and other revenue streams to support the Trust’s activities.
    2. This also includes Marketing effectively.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    1. Engage with various stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, the community, and partner organizations, to build and maintain relationships that support the Trust’s goals.
  6. Compliance and Governance:
    1. Ensuring the Trust complies with legal and regulatory requirements is a critical part of the GM’s role.
    2. Work closely with the board of trustees to ensure good governance practices.
  7. Program and Service Delivery:
    1. Manage the development and implementation of the Trust’s programs and services, ensuring they meet the needs of the community and achieve the desired impact.
  8. Human Resources:
    1. Manage the HR functions, including hiring, training, and managing staff, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring the Trust attracts and retains talented individuals.
  9. Communication:
    1. The GM represents the Trust in public forums and ensures effective communication strategies are in place, both internally and externally.
  10. Impact and Evaluation:
    1. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Trust’s programs and services, ensuring the organisation delivers on its promises and continuously improves.
  11. Overall, the General Manager of the Trust plays a crucial role in steering the organisation towards fulfilling its mission, ensuring it operates efficiently, remains financially stable, and makes a positive impact on the community it serves.
