Muhammad is embarking on a journey not just of physical endurance, but of faith and community spirit. This year, Muhammad has the opportunity of participating in the Tokyo Marathon 2024, and he is  dedicating his run to a cause close to his heart – supporting the Al Furqan Education Trust – Alhamdulillah.

Why Muhammad Runs? Running has always been a passion of his and as a proud member of the Muslim community and an avid supporter of Al Furqan Education Trust Muhammad found that running embodies many of the values we holds dear: discipline, perseverance, and the pursuit of excellence. Through his participation in the Tokyo Marathon, he aims not only to challenge himself but also to inspire fellow Muslims to embrace running as a path to physical wellbeing and why not do it while raising money for a good cause.

Muhammad’s Goal? By the Will of Allah, sn ambitious target to raise £50,000 for the Al Furqan Education Trust. These funds will go a long way in funding the much needed renovations and costs for maintaining the Masjid, improving the building’s facilities, and ensuring that our place of worship continues to serve as a cornerstone of our community. Your support can make a real difference in the lives of many in our community, fostering a future where our children can grow up proud of their identity and equipped with the knowledge they need to succeed.

How You Can Help? Join and support Muhammad on this journey by making a donation to his fundraising campaign. No contribution is too small – every penny brings us closer to our goal. By supporting Muhammad, you’re not just funding a building; you’re investing in the hearts and minds of our community’s future leaders.

Inspiration from Hadith: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasised the importance of maintaining good health and fitness. He said, “A strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah (swt) than a weak believer, while there is good in both.” (Sahih Muslim).

By participating in events like the Tokyo Marathon, we not only improve our physical health but also fulfill a Sunnah of our beloved Prophet.
